Building State Capacity and Productivity Center

Edvance Research, Inc. leads the national Building State Capacity and Productivity (BSCP) Center under the Comprehensive Center Program. This Content Center focus on assisting state education agencies (SEAs) throughout the country, as they adapt to constrained fiscal resources and increased demands for greater productivity. The “SEA of the Future” will be “performance-oriented” rather than “compliance-based” to provide leadership and capacity building for local education agencies. The BSCP center will address the needs of the 50 state education agencies, and the other 21 regional and content comprehensive centers that serve them, by providing information and tools on managing performance, collaborative benchmarking, consultancies and technical assistance. The partners in the center are the Academic Development Institute (ADI), the Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) at the University of Washington, and the Edunomics Lab at Georgetown University.
