Innovation Guides:

Edvance Research is participating in the development of a second series of Innovation Guides for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement. The guides profile innovative practices in a range of its program areas from expanding opportunities for advanced coursework via online learning, magnet school programs, charter schools and parent involvement strategies.

Each guide describes five-to-eight sites chosen from around the country through a systematic screening process to illustrate a variety of creative and successful strategies. The specific details about innovative practices, vignettes, and sample materials provide examples that others can adapt and implement in their own settings.

Building on the work of the Innovation Guides, Edvance Research is currently working to enhance www.BuildingChoice.org. BuildingChoice.org is an interactive online toolkit that provides practical information to districts for implementing and expanding their public school choice offerings, all with the aim of improving student achievement.
